Sunglasses are for outdoor use and daylight!!!
April 26, 2008
Do you wear sunglasses after dark? I hope not because it really ticks me off!! Another thing that hrows me over the edge is when people wear sunglasses indoors. Especially if you are a celebrity; people pay to see you so don’t make an indoor appearance under sunglasses!! That is rude and inconsiderate! Check out Katie and Tom whom were recently caught wearing shades in the dark.

Mommy looks different.
April 26, 2008
“My Beautiful Mommy” written by plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer.
Over the past ten years the number of cosmetic plastic surgery procedures have sky rocketed. And I always wondered what parents told their children when going through these procedures. I would think that it must be scary for a child to see mommy going into the hospital. Another thing I wonder is how the kids must feel when they grow up looking nothing like their parents. Especially if both have gotten work done.
Although I don’t necessarily think that plastic surgery is the way to go, I am one to never say never. Who knows I might get some work done in my later years. I actually think this is a great idea as far as niche markets go. Some of the books creep me out and I feel they would be better if written by child psychologist instead of mostly plastic surgeons.

Red lipstick is classic and never goes out of style. It upsets me when I hear people say that they can’t pull off red lipstick. I’m here to tell you that, yes you can!!!!
Here are 10 tips to go by when going RED!
1. For day go lighter and sheer for evening go darker and bolder.
2. If you have thin lips avoid deep reds, they will make your lips look s smaller
3. Play with intense shades if you have a stronger complexion
4. Don’t pair red lipstick with super heavy eye make up, a little mascara and beige shadow will go a long way.
5. If you have found that you have purchased a shade that doesn’t work,
DON’T toss it. Play with it by topping it with different glosses
6. Bring it all together by smudging the a tiny bit of the lipstick on your cheeks and blending it with your fingers.
7. Precision is important, take your time with it. Don’t go trying to apply it in the back seat of a cab.
8. Don’t use a red lip liner to line your lips. It’s virtually impossible to find identical shades. Your best bet, if you must, is to find a liner closest to your natural lip color.
9. Apply a little concealer on the outside of your mouth to prevent bleeding.
10. Don’t get lipstick on your teeth. After applying put your finger in your mouth, purse your lips around it and slowly pull out. This removes any excess color.

Lady in Red….Tights, that is!
April 16, 2008
Tights usually make or try to make a comeback in the fall. This upcoming fall we will not be bored with your basic black. We are going RED! If your not ready to go red in full effect, you can wear the eye popping shades of red in moderation by combining them with subtle shades like browns and grays. I love this trend because you don’t have to break the bank. Tights Can be found sometimes as low as $6 at stores like Old Navy and Target.

Katy Rodriguez ( Moderation)

Okay ladies, it’s time to start planning! You know us true fashionistas think a season in advance. A fun and affordable way to keep up with style and trends is through beauty, in this case color. For fall 2008 the beauty trend is a pale, no make-up looking face like in Burberry’s F/W 08 runway show. Or an extreme colored face seen in Christian Lacroix, MIU MIU and John Galiano F/W 08 runway shows. Personally, I prefer the color look. Only because I have more of a tan complexion. But I definitely think that the girls with fair complexions can pull off the pale face look successfully. So start thinking ladies and play around with both looks or find a happy medium.

I don’t watch too much television, but the one show I am hooked on is from the Oxygen Network; Bad Girls Club. These chicas are CRAZY!! I love it. They are actually BAD. Season one was interesting with Ripsi’s crazy attack on Kerry. But season two makes those girls look like angels.
At the moment my favorite Bad Girl Moment is Tanisha’s wake up song. I was singing it for days after it aired. Shoot! Who am I kidding I’m still singing it.
POP OFF! POP OFF! POP OFF!

Feminist Hero my @#$
April 2, 2008
When I think of a “feminist hero” the last person to come to mind is Heidi Montag from The Hills. Recently, The New York Times, called her a “feminist hero” for standing up to that creep Spencer. Honey, I would have sent that fool packin in the first season cause Nessa (short for me, Vanessa) don’t roll like that! Ain’t nobody gone make me look like a foo! You know who is a real feminist hero? My mother. This woman came to the United States at the young age of 16. Had my sister and me at a young age, fought for independence from my alcoholic father and finally divorced him. Worked two jobs to support my sister and I. Bought a house all by herself and now continues to work her rear off to help put me through college. TAKE THAT HEIDI MONTAG!!!!
